How RewiredPathways supports itself

RewiredPathways is reader-supported. Many of the tools, courses, and services we recommend across the site include affiliate links. When you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you.

This page explains how we work, what affiliate relationships we have, and how we decide what to recommend.

What we earn and how

When you click an affiliate link on RewiredPathways and purchase through it, the partner pays us a percentage of the sale or a flat fee. Commissions vary by program. We never receive payment from you, and the price you pay is identical whether or not you use our link.

In some cases, we receive recurring commissions for as long as you remain a subscriber to a service. Where this applies, the disclosure remains the same: it does not change your cost, and it does not change our editorial process.

Programs we participate in

We are members of, or applicants to, the following affiliate networks and programs:

  • ShareASale hosts partnerships with FreshBooks, Find My Profession, MasterClass, and others
  • CJ Affiliate hosts partnerships with various career and finance brands
  • Individual programs including but not limited to Jobscan, Grammarly, 1Password, NordVPN, ZenBusiness, Empire Flippers, Flippa, and other brands featured on the site

This list is not exhaustive. We add and remove programs over time based on whether they continue to serve our readers well.

How we choose what to recommend

Our editorial process is straightforward:

  1. We use the tool ourselves or have direct experience with the category before recommending anything.
  2. We evaluate against alternatives, including free options where they exist.
  3. We disclose tradeoffs honestly, including when a free option is the right call.
  4. We do not accept payment to add or remove recommendations, and we never publish sponsored content disguised as editorial.

If we cannot recommend a product or service in good conscience, we do not link to it. If we make a recommendation that we later regret, we update or remove it.

The recommendations on RewiredPathways are guided by what we believe will help mid-career professionals navigate their next chapter. The affiliate relationships make the work sustainable. They do not direct the work.
